Carol Felley founded Never Silent Studio, where art becomes a medium for remembrance, healing, and resistance. A formally trained artist and trauma therapist, Carol creates deeply personal work rooted in empathy and shaped by decades of service to children and families healing from abuse and adversity. Her current collection, Floral Prayers: One Bloom, Every Story, was born from a well of sorrow following the terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023. What began as a personal act of grief transformed into a visual offering for others—a testament to shared mourning, collective memory, and the human spirit’s will to endure.
Carol holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University (1974), with early training in painting and sculpture. After raising her sons and building a business, she returned to school to earn her Master’s in Counseling in 2011, dedicating her professional life to trauma-focused mental health care. She continues to serve clients through her part-time practice, integrating creative expression into therapeutic work.
Her artistic journey came full circle in recent years through printmaking, where she found a sense of community, reflection, and expression. One of her first major series honored her brother’s battle with cancer. Since then, she has created collections that explore loss, memory, and resiliency, not as political statements but as invitations to shared humanity.
“As a mother and grandmother, my work is deeply personal; each piece is created with the tenderness of memory and the fierce hope that future generations deserve peace.”
