Floral Prayers: One Bloom, Every Story

On October 7, 2023, the world shifted, and so did the course of my work. The news out of Israel was not a distant headline; it was a shock that cut straight through my usual sense of beauty, color, and form. I watched communities shattered in a single day, families torn apart, and a grief that seemed too large for words. In the days that followed, what began as a single artistic response to became a sustained practice of bearing witness—refusing to let names, faces, and stories disappear. Out of that commitment, Never Silent Studio was born and my work on Floral Prayers began.

Through the careful placement of flowers, layers of cyanotype, and handwork, I created space to pause and reflect on each life represented. What began as an artistic process evolved into a practice of remembrance, with every bloom serving as a small prayer and acknowledgment of a unique human story. The work combines cyanotype, chine-collé, natural dyes, and hand embroidery, creating layered surfaces that reflect memory, fragility, and remembrance.
